It is a mistake to believe that all tourists go to Egypt to go diving, enjoy the warm Red Sea and relax at the hotel using the All inclusive system. Egypt is famous not only for its rich underwater world, the variety of delicious food, well-maintained beaches, but also for its mass of historical sites.

Pyramids of Giza
The great Egyptian pyramids are the main attraction that every vacationer wishes to see. The burial place of the pharaohs is located in a suburb of Cairo on the plateau of Giza, in the eponymous city of Al-Giza.

The temple complex consists of several buildings and cemeteries:

the tombs of Khafren (136 m), Menkaure (61 m) and Cheops (146 m);
temples leading to the tombs of the Egyptian rulers;
Satellite pyramids with deceased spouses;
four necropolis with the burial of relatives and court pharaohs;
the statue of the Great Sphinx (20 m high and 73 m long).

The Pyramids of Giza are one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
Ancient city-museum Luxor
Luxor is the greatest mystery of Egypt and one of the largest open-air museums. On the territory of the Arab cultural center there is a large number of ancient monuments and monuments.
Earlier on the territory of Luxor were Thebes – the capital of ancient Egypt, called in ancient times Waset. Modern Luxor is divided into two zones separated by the Nile. On the west side is the city of the living, and on the east is the city of the dead.

On the right bank, two famous temples were built – Karnak and Luxor, united by the Sphinx Alley. Both holy cloisters, erected in honor of the god Amon-Ra. In each of the temples there are halls of giant 16-meter columns, decorated with colored panels to the top. On the shore of the sacred lake, on the south side of the pantheon, there is a granite statue of the scarab beetle revered by the Egyptians.

On the opposite side of the Nile is the Valley of the Pharaohs, where there are more than 50 tombs of Egyptian rulers, including Tutankhamun. Pharaoh’s wives were buried in the Valley of the Queens. The most beautiful grave is the tomb of Nefertari. You can get to Luxor from Hurghada, Makadi Bay or Safaga by bus. And from the capital of Egypt, more comfortable to go by train.

Alexandria
A large city on the Mediterranean coast, where tourists can see the beautiful mosque of Abu el Abassa with the 73-meter minaret. There is also a Hydrobiological Museum with 50 aquariums in which representatives of the fauna of the Red and Mediterranean Sea and the Nile River inhabit.

In Alexandria, restored the old library, founded in the III. BC e. Alexander of Macedon. The Faroese lighthouse, included in the list of 7 wonders of the world, also has historical significance. Amazing landmark Color canyon is located 150 km from the resort town of Sharm el-Sheikh. An unusual natural formation appeared after a strong seismic thunderstorm that divided Mount Sinai. Precipitation and wind blurred the 5-kilometer crack, which as a result became a popular sightseeing place. Throughout the length of the canyon, tourists can observe the rainbow transitions of colors to the bizarre outlines of rocks up to 80 meters high, which form a stone corridor of different widths.

Mountain of moses
Mount Moses has many names – Sinai, Jembel-Musa, Horeb. According to the Bible on this site, God bequeathed his holy commandments to the prophet. You can reach its summit in two ways – via the Ladder of Repentance of 3,750 steps (short way) and along the Camel Trail, which stretches for 8 km in a spiral (long way). The ascent ends with a Ladder of nuns consisting of 750 steps.
Along the tourist trajectory, benches and awnings are installed where you can eat and quench your thirst. The ascent to the mountain peak lasts about 3 hours. On the mountain is the chapel of the Virgin, the temple of the Prophet Elijah in the caves and the mosque of Mohammed.
