London: what to watch for free?

London, the capital of the United Kingdom, is one of the classic cities of Old Europe, cities with rich traditions and extensive cultural heritage. Located on the banks of the Thames, this city is one of the main business centers of the world, and at the same time Mecca of art lovers – its endless galleries, monuments of architecture, museums and entertainment centers will not leave indifferent even the most captious traveler.

For example, those who want to go to London in the winter, on the eve of the Catholic Christmas and New Year, should definitely visit Hyde Park, as well as the winter fun fair on Piccadilly: there you can eat, relax, and enjoy the entertainment program.
However, now is not about that. In the capital of Britain, for a certain symbolic amount, you can purchase a “ticket across London”, which opens unlimited access to a whole bunch of tourist entertainment. Moreover, in London there are several places where you can get completely free of charge – no one will take money from you for a visit. Here are some of them:

British museum. Opened in 1753, this museum is considered the country’s “main museum” —the counterpart of the Hermitage or the French Louvre. Here for all to see pictures of the most famous artists of the world. In addition, here, for example, there are authentic sculptures from the Greek Parthenon, as well as Egyptian Rosetta stone – the greatest archaeological find, thanks to which Egyptian hieroglyphs were decoded.

Science Museum. This is one of the best museums that you should definitely visit if you are in London with children. Here they will come off in full: all the latest technologies, like 3D films and simulators of various special effects, will be at their disposal. The entrance to the museum is free, however, individual expositions, such as the 3D IMAX cinema, are still open only for a fee.

Farm and park Madchat. Usually, the farms are located outside the big cities, but the farm and Madchat Park are located in the very center of London, on Dog Island. Here you can look at pets, ride a horse, and also spend time with benefit, participating in one of the educational activities. In addition, this park has a number of rare plants.

So, here are some places where free (or almost free) you can spend a very exciting time. Of course, do not forget about the other sights of London – Big Ben, Tower, Windsor Palace, Zoo, Trafalgar Square and many others (especially if you are in the capital of England for the first time). But you will never forget these ones – see for yourself!
